Et spørsmål om affekt: abduksjon som tilnærmingsmåte til "ny" empirisk forskning i kunstfagdidaktikk

Sammendrag

Med utgangspunkt i et overraskende spørsmål fra elever i møte med en kunstnerisk praksis, drøfter artikkelen hvordan en forstyrrelse kan kaste nytt lys på hva abduksjon som metode innebærer som tilnærmingsmåte til «ny» empirisk forskning i kunstfagdidaktikk. Artikkelen argumenterer for å la det som forstyrrer en forsker i en konkret situasjon være ledespor for abduksjon, et arbeid som kan skape nye begreper og teori omkring kunstfagdidaktikk. Med omdreiningspunkt i Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze og Félix Guattaris begreper om subjektivering og affekt, samt Charles Sanders Pierce og Mieke Bals tanker om abduksjon, belyses metodologiske implikasjoner av forstyrrelser. Slik kan affekt bli et ledespor for abduksjon, hvor situasjoner som overrasker forskeren kan brukes produktivt i utviklingen av kunstfagdidaktisk forskning.

A question of affect: abduction as approach to “new”, empirical research in art education

Based on a surprising question from students in the face of an artistic practice, the article discusses how a disturbance can shed new light on what abduction as a method entails as approach to “new” empirical research in the didactics of art [kunstfagdidaktikk]. The article argues that a disturbance of the researcher in a specific situation can be a guide for abduction, events that can create new concepts and theory for the didactics of art. Based in Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s concepts of subjectivation and affect, as well as Charles Sanders Pierce and Mieke Bal’s thoughts on abduction, methodological implications of disturbances and affect are elucidated. Affect is seen as a guideline for abduction, where situations that surprise the researcher can be used productively in the development of art didactic research.
